If you still can’t stop touching your face as the coronavirus outbreak drags on, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory has a solution for you.
A fashion accessory to protect oneself.
The PULSE is a pendant that you can hang around your neck like a necklace, but it is not just a fashion accessory. When your hand approaches the device, it begins to vibrate. This is supposed to remind you to keep your hands away from the area of your face. Three researchers at the NASA laboratory developed the vibrating collar to combine it with other measures against coronavirus, such as washing your hands and wearing a mask.
NASA does not have an online store to sell its products, so the design instructions to build the PULSE are available and accessible free of charge to everyone on the Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s website at href= »https://medeng.jpl.nasa.gov/covid-19/pulse/ »>Jet Propulsion Laboratory website. All you need is a 3D printer, a soldering iron, a few wires, a motor, a flat battery and a few other little things.
Many other objects have been created recently.
NASA has been working to develop other products, such as a prototype fan that could save the lives of people with VIDOC-19.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, a variety of devices and equipment have been developed to help you distance yourself socially, protect yourself from possible infection, and slow the spread to those around you. There’s even a hooded sweatshirt with a built-in « sneeze sleeve » and face shield.
